During the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Italy showcased diverse trends across the top five apps on the Android platform, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a varied trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 17K in early August. Active users started the quarter at around 443K, dipping slightly mid-quarter, but rebounding to end the quarter close to 450K.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a consistent decline in weekly downloads, which began at 7.9K at the start of July and fell to 7K by the end of September. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 60K to just over 67K by the quarter's end.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 2.9K and ending at 2K. Active users followed a similar downward trajectory, beginning the quarter at around 20K and closing at approximately 18K.

Cabify maintained a steady pattern in weekly downloads, with minor fluctuations, starting at 1.4K and concluding at 1.3K. Active users saw a slight increase from 8.6K to 9K throughout the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a peak in weekly downloads in early August at 2K, followed by a gradual decline to around 1.4K. Active users showed a modest increase, beginning at 5.9K and reaching just over 5.9K by the end of September.
